A home of faith.
A story of grace.
A vibrant Syro-Malabar Eucharistic community in Basavanagar-Kaggadasapura, Bengaluru—united in worship, fellowship and service.
Built through faith.
Alive through its people.
The story of St. Mary's is the story of families who longed for a spiritual home, prayed together and offered their time, talent and treasure to build one.
What began as a small fraternity became a parish united in the Word of God, the Holy Qurbana, the profession of faith and the loving patronage of Mother Mary.
“The church is not a building—the church is a people.”
Serving our

With pastoral care and prayer, our priests accompany the community in worship, faith formation and service.

“Let them make me a sanctuary,
so that I may dwell among them.”
From a shared dream
to a living sanctuary.
The historical roots of today's Eucharistic community lie in the desire of Syro-Malabar families around Kaggadasapura for a parish of their own.
A community takes shape
Twelve lay faithful came together under the leadership of Fr. Sebastian Edathikavil CMI and formed St. Mary’s Syro-Malabar Trust, Kaggadasapura.
The first sacred home
On 10 November, the temporary chapel at Chemmanur Enclave was blessed and St. Mary’s was formally declared a Holy Eucharistic Centre under the Diocese of Mandya.
Growing in faith
A second chapel was blessed on 19 March. Faith formation began in five homes as the young community continued its search for permanent land.
The dream fulfilled
On 18 July, Mar Sebastian Adayanthrath solemnly consecrated the permanent St. Mary’s Church at Basavanagar-Kaggadasapura.
